For over fifty years Barkan Meizlish has fulfilled our commitment to provide quality legal services to working people including those who are injured on the job, are unable to work at all due to an injury or disability, or who are injured due to the negligence of another. Our firm proudly continues to provide aggressive legal representation to labor organizations and their members across a wide variety of industries and professions.

Today, Barkan Meizlish represents thousands of people from our offices in Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and Louisiana. At no other time has representing the injured and disabled been more challenging. Likewise, it is not an exaggeration to say that the rights of employees and their unions are under attack by employers, elected officials and the legal system.

Those who seek to weaken the rights of working people and their unions, the injured and the disabled continue to lobby Congress and the legislatures across America with measured success. Their goal is to enact laws and obtain legal decisions that limit or eliminate benefits the injured and disabled so richly deserve and to create an economy where businesses reap all of the rewards and have all the power rather than sharing it with its employees.

But the lawyers, paralegals and staff at Barkan Meizlish are ready to meet the challenge every day. We understand that how well we do our job makes a difference in the quality of life for each of our clients and their families. We've never been more dedicated.

Social Security Disability / SSI

Social Security Disability claims were first introduced to the US court system in the late 1950s. Barkan Meizlish Social Security disability lawyers started claims work in 1960, so there are very few law firms with more experience in this field of law.
