Carl Falstrom
Carl Falstrom represents businesses, companies, organizations, and other institutions in U.S. immigration matters. He also counsels individual businesspeople, including investors and entrepreneurs; scientists; artists; scholars; religious workers; professionals; and other immigrants and their families. The wide range of cases that he handles includes temporary visas such as H, L, TN (NAFTA), O, E and B; immigrant (“green card”) petitions and adjustment of status applications; and U.S. citizenship and naturalization cases. His areas of expertise also include assistance with Form I-9 completion and records maintenance; representation in connection with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) audits; and responses to Social Security Administration “no match” letters.

Carl has occupied a number of high-level leadership positions within the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), including service as Chair of the association’s Northern California chapter and as a member of the association’s national Board of Governors, and has been chosen to formally liaise in various capacities on behalf of the association and its members with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS, formerly the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS)). He has also served as Adjunct Professor of Immigration Law at both the Golden Gate University and University of San Francisco Schools of Law.

Carl received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago and his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He is admitted to practice in California. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Faubourg St. Roch Project (http://www.strochproject.org) and has been a Participant in the Metropolitan Leadership Forum of the Committee for a Better New Orleans/Metropolitan Area Committee (CBNO/MAC).
