Trade Secrets, Non-Competes and Workplace Technology
The Jackson Lewis Trade Secret, Non-Compete and Workplace Technology Practice Group is dedicated to helping employers protect themselves from such unfair competition. In addition to working with clients to develop comprehensive trade secret protection programs, our preventive services include:
- Drafting non-competition agreements, non-disclosure agreements, assignment of invention agreements and similar documents;
- Preparing executive and individual employment agreements;
- Conducting audits of trade secret protection issues;
- Consulting on electronic information retention and security policies; and
- Training employees on policies regarding confidential information, non-competes and the like.
When preventive efforts fail, the Trade Secret, Non-Compete and Workplace Technology Practice Group aggressively litigates claims including claims for breach of non-competition agreements, theft of trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duty, employee raiding and unfair trade practices. Members of the group have litigated such cases in 35 states, in forums ranging from state, federal district and bankruptcy courts, to securities industry and American Arbitration Association arbitration tribunals. Many of our cases are at the cutting edge of unfair competition law on issues ranging from the inevitable disclosure doctrine to the enforcement of non-competition agreements with worldwide scope.
